IMPORTANT

Final Sale Merchandise

Custom-designed, personalized, engraved, made-to-order, special-order, resized or customer-altered jewelry is Final Sale once the applicable production or customization has begun. Pierced earrings, gift cards and merchandise specifically marked Final Sale are also not eligible for ordinary returns or exchanges. This does not limit rights that cannot legally be waived.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Purchases & Eligibility

1. Online Purchases

Unless an item is identified as Final Sale, eligible merchandise purchased online may be returned within 14 calendar days from the date of delivery.

Eligible merchandise must be:

  • Unworn and unused
  • In its original condition
  • Free from scratches, dents, damage, alterations, odors, residue or signs of wear
  • Returned with original tags, packaging, certificates, documentation and accessories, when applicable
  • Accompanied by valid proof of purchase

Removing tags, wearing the merchandise, resizing it, altering it or otherwise changing its original condition may make the item ineligible for return.

Receiving a returned item does not automatically mean that the return has been approved. All returns are subject to inspection.

2. In-Store Purchases

Unless otherwise stated at the time of sale, eligible merchandise purchased at our physical store may be returned within 14 calendar days of purchase for exchange or store credit.

Merchandise must be unworn, unused, unaltered, undamaged and accompanied by acceptable proof of purchase.

Eligible in-store purchases are not refundable to the original payment method unless otherwise stated or required by applicable law.

3. Final Sale Items

The following are Final Sale and are not eligible for ordinary return or exchange:

  • Custom-designed jewelry
  • Personalized jewelry
  • Nameplates and name necklaces
  • Engraved merchandise
  • Special orders
  • Made-to-order merchandise
  • Jewelry resized at the customer's request
  • Jewelry altered or modified at the customer's request
  • Merchandise manufactured or sourced specifically for a customer
  • Pierced earrings
  • Clearance merchandise specifically marked Final Sale
  • Gift cards
  • Any merchandise specifically identified as Final Sale before purchase

Final Sale restrictions do not eliminate rights that cannot legally be waived.

4. Custom, Personalized & Special Orders

Custom, personalized, engraved, resized, altered, made-to-order and special-order merchandise is produced, sourced or modified specifically for the customer.

Once production, sourcing, engraving, personalization, resizing, alteration or other custom work has begun, the order is Final Sale and ordinarily cannot be canceled, returned, exchanged or refunded, subject to applicable law.

Customers are responsible for reviewing and approving all applicable order details before production, including:

  • Names and spelling
  • Initials and dates
  • Fonts
  • Metal type and color
  • Ring size
  • Chain length
  • Dimensions
  • Design selections
  • Grabados
  • Other customization instructions

Minor Fine Jewelry is not responsible for errors in information supplied or approved by the customer.

If we produce an item differently from the customer's documented approved specifications, please contact us so the matter can be reviewed and corrected as appropriate.

5. Custom Order Deposits

Deposit requirements, payment schedules, cancellation terms and refundability applicable to a custom or special order will be disclosed on the applicable order documentation before production begins.

If a deposit is expressly identified and agreed to as non-refundable, it will not be refundable after applicable custom work, sourcing or production has begun, except as required by law or otherwise agreed in writing.

6. Return Authorization

Customers must contact Minor Fine Jewelry before mailing an online return.

Please provide:

  • Customer name
  • Order number
  • Item being returned
  • Reason for the return
  • Photographs, when requested

Do not send high-value jewelry to the store without following the return instructions provided by us.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Returns, Packages & Delivery

7. Customer-Initiated Return Shipping

When an eligible return is based on preference, fit, style, change of mind or another reason not caused by Minor Fine Jewelry, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Original shipping and handling charges are generally non-refundable for voluntary returns.

We strongly recommend using tracking, appropriate insurance, secure packaging and signature confirmation when appropriate.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the customer is responsible for the return shipment until it is delivered to Minor Fine Jewelry.

8. Our Error or Verified Defect

Please contact us promptly if Minor Fine Jewelry ships the wrong item, ships the wrong size when the correct size was ordered, makes an error in an approved customization or if merchandise has a suspected defect.

After verification, we will provide an appropriate remedy and cover reasonable authorized return shipping when the return is required because of our error.

Depending on the circumstances, the remedy may include repair, replacement, exchange, correction or refund.

9. Damaged Shipments

Customers should inspect packages and merchandise promptly after delivery.

If merchandise appears to have been damaged during shipment, contact us promptly and retain:

  • The jewelry
  • The shipping box
  • Inner packaging
  • Shipping labels
  • Packing materials
  • Order documentation

We may request photographs or other information needed to investigate the damage and pursue a carrier or insurance claim.

Please do not discard packaging until the matter has been resolved.

10. Lost, Missing or Undelivered Orders

If an order does not arrive as expected, contact Minor Fine Jewelry promptly.

We may review tracking information and initiate an investigation with the shipping carrier.

Nothing in this policy eliminates applicable legal rights concerning merchandise that was not delivered as agreed.

11. Shipping Delays

Minor Fine Jewelry will make shipment representations only when we have a reasonable basis to expect that an order can be shipped within the stated period.

When applicable, if an order cannot be shipped within the legally required or represented period, we will provide the delay, cancellation or refund options required by applicable law.

12. Incorrect Shipping Address

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address.

If an order has not shipped, contact us immediately if an address correction is needed.

Once an order has shipped, we cannot guarantee that the carrier will be able to modify the delivery address.

Additional shipping costs resulting from an incorrect customer-provided address may be charged to the customer where legally permissible.

13. Refused & Undeliverable Packages

Packages returned because of an incorrect or incomplete customer-provided address, refusal of delivery, unsuccessful delivery attempts, failure to retrieve a package or another customer-related delivery issue will be reviewed under this policy.

Refusing delivery does not automatically create a right to a refund and does not make Final Sale merchandise returnable.

Additional shipping charges may apply if eligible merchandise is reshipped.

14. Signature Requirements

For security and fraud prevention, Minor Fine Jewelry may require an adult or other appropriate signature for certain shipments, particularly higher-value orders.

Customers are responsible for ensuring an authorized person is available to accept a shipment requiring a signature.

PROTECTION & VERIFICATION

Jewelry Inspection & Security

15. Return Inspection & Authentication

Every returned jewelry item may be inspected and authenticated before a refund, exchange or store credit is issued.

Inspection may include verification of:

  • Item identity
  • SKU or identifying information
  • Metal
  • Stones and settings
  • Weight and dimensions
  • Serial numbers or manufacturer markings, when applicable
  • Condition and signs of wear
  • Alterations
  • Missing components
  • Packaging and documentation
16. Substituted, Altered or Different Merchandise

A customer must return the same merchandise originally purchased.

Minor Fine Jewelry will not issue an ordinary refund or exchange for merchandise reasonably determined after appropriate review to be a different item, counterfeit, substituted, materially altered, missing components, intentionally damaged or otherwise not the merchandise originally sold.

We reserve all rights and remedies available under applicable law in cases of suspected fraud.

17. Worn or Damaged Merchandise

Ordinary returns do not cover merchandise damaged after purchase through:

  • Wear and tear
  • Impact
  • Scratching
  • Bending
  • Broken chains
  • Improper use
  • Chemical exposure
  • Improper cleaning
  • Unauthorized repair
  • Unauthorized resizing or alteration
  • Loss of merchandise
  • Loss of stones following damage or misuse

A repair may still be available under an applicable manufacturer warranty, service agreement or paid repair service.

18. Repairs Are Different From Returns

A repair request is not automatically a return, exchange or refund request.

Jewelry submitted for repair is subject to the applicable repair terms, estimate, warranty or service agreement.

REFUNDS & PAYMENTS

Credits, Promotions & Financing

19. Refunds

After an eligible online return is received, inspected and approved, Minor Fine Jewelry will process the applicable refund according to the original payment method and applicable law.

Processing by the customer's financial institution may take additional time after we submit the refund.

20. Exchanges

Eligible merchandise may be exchanged during the applicable return period, subject to availability.

If replacement merchandise costs more, the customer must pay the difference.

Any balance resulting from a lower-priced replacement will be handled according to the applicable purchase and return terms.

21. Store Credit

Store credit issued under this policy is not redeemable for cash except where required by law.

Any applicable expiration or other conditions will comply with governing law.

22. Promotional & Discounted Purchases

Unless specifically identified as Final Sale, a promotional price alone does not necessarily make merchandise Final Sale.

If eligible promotional merchandise is returned, the refund or credit will reflect the actual amount paid, subject to the applicable promotional terms.

If returning part of a multi-item promotion changes eligibility for the original promotion, the refund may be recalculated according to the disclosed promotional terms and applicable law.

23. Free Gifts & Purchase Incentives

If a purchase included a complimentary gift, promotional item or purchase incentive that depended on meeting a purchase threshold, the promotional item may need to be returned with the merchandise.

Treatment of an unreturned promotional item will be determined according to the disclosed promotional terms and applicable law.

24. Price Adjustments

Minor Fine Jewelry does not guarantee retroactive price adjustments because merchandise is later discounted or included in a promotion unless the applicable promotion expressly provides otherwise.

25. Gift Purchases

Eligible gifts may be exchanged or returned for store credit within the applicable return period when accompanied by acceptable proof of purchase.

Final Sale restrictions continue to apply to gifts.

26. Financed Purchases

Purchases made through a third-party financing provider remain subject to this Return Policy and the financing provider's applicable terms.

Approved refunds will be processed to the appropriate financing account when required.

Financing promotions, interest, deferred-interest terms and account conditions are governed by the customer's agreement with the financing provider.

27. Layaway

Layaway purchases are governed by the separate Minor Fine Jewelry Layaway Policy provided when the layaway is established.

Custom, engraved, personalized, resized and special-order merchandise remains subject to the applicable Final Sale provisions.

ORDER PROTECTION

Cancellations, Fraud & Order Issues

28. Order Cancellations

Contact us as quickly as possible to request cancellation.

For ordinary merchandise, we will attempt to accommodate a voluntary cancellation request when possible, but cancellation cannot always be guaranteed once an order has entered fulfillment or shipped.

This does not restrict cancellation or refund rights arising under applicable law because of a shipping delay or other legally protected circumstance.

Custom and personalized orders remain subject to the custom-order provisions of this policy.

29. Partial Shipments

Orders containing multiple items may be shipped separately when appropriate.

If we ultimately cannot ship part of an order, any required refund will be handled according to applicable law.

30. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Customers are encouraged to contact Minor Fine Jewelry promptly if there is a problem with an order so we have an opportunity to review and resolve the matter.

Nothing in this policy restricts a customer's lawful right to dispute a qualifying transaction with a financial institution.

Minor Fine Jewelry may provide transaction records, order confirmations, delivery records, communications, photographs, customer acknowledgments and other relevant evidence when responding to a payment dispute.

31. Fraud Prevention

For the protection of our customers and business, orders may be subject to reasonable fraud-prevention review.

Where permitted by law, we may:

  • Request additional information
  • Verify billing or shipping information
  • Require signature delivery
  • Delay fulfillment while completing reasonable verification
  • Decline or cancel transactions reasonably suspected of fraud

Any refund required following cancellation will be handled according to applicable law.

32. Typographical, Inventory & Pricing Errors

We make reasonable efforts to keep product and pricing information accurate.

If an obvious pricing, inventory, description or technical error occurs, we may contact the customer before fulfillment to explain the issue and, where legally permitted, offer the opportunity to proceed on corrected terms or cancel the transaction.

Nothing in this provision permits deceptive pricing practices or overrides applicable consumer-protection law.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

Jewelry, Materials & Warranties

33. Product Appearance

We make reasonable efforts to represent merchandise accurately online.

Colors and appearance may vary somewhat because of photography, lighting, screen settings, device displays and natural variations in materials.

This provision does not excuse materially inaccurate product descriptions or merchandise that does not conform to the customer's order.

34. Natural Variations

Certain gemstones, pearls and other natural materials may have variations in color, inclusions, pattern, shape or other characteristics.

Such natural variations are not necessarily defects. Material treatments or characteristics legally required to be disclosed will be handled according to applicable requirements.

35. Manufacturer Warranties

Certain watches, jewelry or other products may include a manufacturer's warranty.

Manufacturer warranty coverage is governed by the manufacturer's terms and is separate from Minor Fine Jewelry's ordinary return policy unless otherwise stated.

GENERAL TERMS

Additional Policy Information

36. Policy Abuse

To the extent permitted by law, Minor Fine Jewelry reserves the right to refuse a return or transaction reasonably associated with return fraud, merchandise substitution, repeated abusive returns, intentional damage, false claims, tampering or other fraudulent activity.

This provision does not restrict legitimate consumer rights.

37. Proof of Purchase

Proof of purchase may be required for returns, exchanges, warranty assistance or store credit.

Acceptable proof may include an original receipt, online order record, gift receipt or another purchase record that Minor Fine Jewelry can reasonably verify.

38. Policy Changes

Minor Fine Jewelry may update this policy periodically.

The policy applicable to a transaction will generally be the policy presented or otherwise applicable when the customer made the purchase, subject to changes required by law.

39. Your Legal Rights

Nothing in this policy is intended to waive, limit or eliminate any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived.

If any provision of this policy conflicts with applicable law, applicable law controls.
